Lesson: The Business of Publishing from Query to Contract
This lesson will focus on author platforms, what an agent does/why you need one, and contracts (with a special emphasis on what to watch out for it you are negotiating them without an agent.)  A Q&A will follow.

Lesson: All About Agents
This lesson will cover how to find an agent, what to look for in an agent, what an agent does, the query processes, and what NOT to do, and what questions to ask before signing with an agent.  Q&A to follow.

Lesson: Thinking in Pictures
A discussion on the need for picture book authors to have a visual understanding of and approach to their text, with tips and tricks to help you do just that!  Bring in a polished picture book text for this hands-on session.  Storyboard pages will be provided.
